The Secret Tesla Master Plan (Just Between You and Me) Elon Musk, Co-Founder and CEO of Tesla Motors, August 2, 2006 As you know, Tesla's first product was a high-performance electric sports car called the Tesla Roadster. However, some readers may not be aware that our long-term plan is to produce different models of cars, including affordable family cars. This is because the primary purpose of Tesla (and the reason I invested in the company) is to help advance the transition from an economy based on the extraction and combustion of hydrocarbon fuels to a solar electric economy. I believe this is the main solution for sustainable development, though not the only one. To achieve this goal, it is crucial to produce electric vehicles without compromise. The purpose of the Tesla Roadster is to directly face and defeat gasoline-powered sports cars like those from Porsche or Ferrari. Moreover, on top of that, its energy efficiency is twice that of the Prius. Nevertheless, some people still ask what good this does for the world. Do we really need another high-performance sports car? Can it really have an impact on the global carbon emissions problem? Well, the answer is no, not much. But that's not the point, unless you understand the secret master plan mentioned at the beginning of this article. Almost all new technologies initially have a high unit cost and will gradually be improved over time, and this is also true for electric vehicles. Tesla's strategy is to enter the high-end market, where consumers are willing to pay a higher price. Then, with the launch of each subsequent model, we aim to move towards a larger market as quickly as possible with greater production volume and lower prices. I can say that our second model will be a four-door sports family car, priced at around half of the Tesla Roadster's price ($89,000), while sacrificing not too many other features. And the price of the third model will be even more affordable. As a rapidly growing technology company, all of our free cash flow is invested in research and development to reduce costs and bring subsequent products to market as soon as possible. When someone buys a Tesla Roadster sports car, they are actually helping to cover the development costs of the family car. [read more]

Texas de Brazil - Carlsbad

Texas de Brazil began with a dream in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Enjoying the rancher’s life and feasting in the rodizio style native to the region, one of our partners had visions of bringing churrasco culture north to the United States. He wanted to share this unique way of dining where guests indulge in a parade of meats and extravagant seasonal salad area. The destination for this restaurant was none other than cattle country…Texas. After all, the traditional steakhouse of Brazil blends perfectly with the service and class of the Lone Star State. We are proud to bring our family-owned restaurant to the rest of the world as we expand domestically and internationally. Come and enjoy the culinary experience found only at Texas de Brazil. Texas Lil's Old Town Temecula

Our History It’s hard to imagine, but when we opened Texas Lil’s back in January of 1987, there was just one street light and McDonald’s had not even been built! Temecula was often called Rancho California because we were not even a city but just an unincorporated area of Riverside County without a police department. Our little hometown events like the Tractor Race, Balloon & Wine Festival, Rod Run & Quilt Show, and others have grown into major tourist attractions. Although we have seen tremendous growth, the wonderful things that originally drew us to the Temecula Valley remain. Beautiful surroundings, great weather, terrific educational opportunities, and easy access to anywhere else we want to visit. Texas Lil’s is and remains a family-owned and operated business. The restaurant is our business, our hobby, and our passion. It is part of the fabric of the Temecula community and we are thankful to be part of this history as well as the exciting future. We have come to be known for Good Friends Great Food Celebrate Daily We make our food from scratch using fresh ingredients delivered daily. Our salad dressings, sauces, and side dishes are all made in-house. Our Texas 2-Step Bar-B-Q method is the perfect way to create the most tender, flavor-filled ribs you will ever try. Our staff works hard to accommodate each guest's needs in a timely manner. Great food does require time to prepare – but it is absolutely worth it! If you are not happy, please let us know and we will try hard to fix the situation. Occasionally we can make a mistake, and when we do, we appreciate the opportunity to correct it. Texas Lil’s believes that our people are what make Lil’s unique and excellent. We truly care about your dining experience and want to provide you with an excellent memory. Let us know how we are doing, we love feedback. It helps us grow, and improve and let us know we are going in the right direction. Join Texas Lil's in the heart of Temecula Old Town Today!
